Behavioral Therapist

Telang Monika Vitthal is a dedicated Behavior Therapist at Therapeace with an Integrated Master of Science in Psychology, specializing in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from the Central University of Karnataka. With nearly two years of professional experience, her clinical focus centers on providing evidence-based Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), with practical experience in Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) frameworks. She is highly skilled in conducting psychological assessments for neurodivergent children, developing tailored therapy plans, and managing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and ABLLS to track clinical progress effectively.

Monika works inclusively to address each child’s unique needs, focusing on core domains such as communication, social interaction, and repetitive behaviors. Her practice encompasses both individual and group therapy for children, as well as specialized individual counseling for adolescents addressing career guidance, adjustment issues, stress, and psychological disturbances. Furthermore, she facilitates group counseling sessions for children, adolescents, and adults to foster emotional well-being and resilience.

A central pillar of Monika’s approach is her commitment to family-centered care. She actively engages with families through parent-mediated home-based interventions, parental counseling, and structured parental training to ensure continuity of care and support. Her professional background is enriched by a diverse range of internships at prestigious institutions, including the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), IIT Hyderabad, Regional Mental Hospital (RMH), Smart Neuro-Psychiatry Clinic, Mind and Brain Hospital, and Cadabam’s Group.

In addition to her clinical work, Monika is a contributor to the field of psychological research. She qualified for GATE 2025 and presented a paper at an international conference at Bangalore University in September 2024. In 2026, she published a systematic review titled "Care demands and professional commitments of parents with children having a learning disability" in the journal Frontiers in Public Health, reflecting her deep interest in supporting the caregivers of children with developmental challenges
