Shiza Alugu Doon Emmanuel

Senior Occupational Therapist

Shiza Emmanuel is a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist who believes that therapy is not just about interventions, but about understanding each child’s unique world with patience, empathy, and care. With a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from SRM University, Chennai, and a Bachelor’s degree from SVNIRTAR (Utkal University), she brings both strong clinical knowledge and a deeply human approach to pediatric rehabilitation. Her work focuses primarily on supporting children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental challenges, helping them build independence, confidence, and meaningful participation in everyday life.

Over the years, Shiza has worked in multidisciplinary clinical settings including Fernandez Child Development Center, Sairam Praxis Child Development Center, Stepping Puzzlers Learning Center, and Ankura Hospital in Hyderabad. Through these experiences, she has developed expertise in assessment, individualized treatment planning, sensory-based therapeutic interventions, parent counseling, and designing structured home programs that support consistent progress beyond therapy sessions. She is particularly known for building warm, trusting relationships with children and their families, creating a safe and encouraging therapeutic environment where every child feels understood and supported.

Shiza strongly believes that parents are an essential part of the therapeutic journey, and she actively works alongside families to guide, empower, and support them through their child’s developmental process. Her training in echo therapy for children with autism, brain gym techniques, and hand splinting further strengthens her ability to provide holistic and individualized care. With a calm, empathetic, and patient set approach, Shiza is committed to helping every child discover their strengths and achieve their fullest potential while ensuring families feel supported at every step of the journey.
